FAQ

Why do I need to provide my own API keys?

VoiceFlow uses external AI services that require API keys. By using your own keys, you have full control over your usage, costs, and data privacy. Both services offer generous free tiers.

Is my voice data stored anywhere?

No. VoiceFlow processes your voice in real-time and immediately discards the audio after transcription. Your recordings are never stored on your device or any server we control.

Why isn't the text automatically pasted?

The App Store version uses macOS sandbox restrictions for security. After transcription, text is copied to your clipboard - press V to paste. For auto-paste, download the full version.

What languages are supported?

VoiceFlow supports all languages supported by Deepgram, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and many more.

How can I improve transcription accuracy?

Use the Custom Vocabulary feature in Settings to add technical terms and names. Nova-2 model offers the best accuracy for most use cases.

The app doesn't respond to the Fn key

Make sure you've granted Input Monitoring permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. Try restarting the app if the issue persists.
